Attachment Day 19thursdayMorning went to NUH for William's project meeting.then after the meeting went SGH to do perventive maintenance for IABP system 98 pump.first time i am exposing to this pump after reading the manual.as usual, William will clean the exterior of the machine. And i will do the Electrical Safety Analyzer test first.I follow the checklist to perform the various checks with William teaching me how to operate the machine. this machine has quite a lot of test to be done but mostly is machine calculate the results so it is easier.the longest time is the battery test. we had to run the machine on battery till the machine shows low batt. a newly bought machine's battery life last about 2 hours.but the machine we doing PM is bought quite long ago so the battery life is not that long.the whole testing process take us about 1hour 30min.After lunch we went to KKH to do patient monitor. When we reach the OT, the patient monitors that we wanted to do PM are all on patients and the nurse told us to come back in 1 hour's time.so we went to BME workshop to rest for a while. then we met another vendor. i forgot what's his name already but he is from drager company, IDS's competitor.after waiting for an hour, we went up to the OT again.luckily now they have one monitor for us to service as they are very busy.so we swap one monitor for one after we service one so they can use at the same time.thats all the thursday.pics:
